Only Leicester City sit below Forest and Wolves in the table, so both sides will be looking to pick up three much-needed points this weekend.
The Old Gold are still without a permanent manager following the sacking of Bruno Lage, with James Collins and Steve Davis set to be in the dugout once again.
They will be hoping for a much-improved performance against Steve Cooper’s side after they were comfortably beaten 3-0 against Chelsea last time out.
Given the Old Gold’s ailing form, it would be no surprise to see a few alterations to the starting line-up as the temporary management team reshuffle the pack to try and hit upon a winning combination.
Here is the starting XI that we are predicting today, with four changes from the side which started at Stamford Bridge a week ago:
Jose Sa looks unlikely to lose his place in the starting XI any time soon, so he starts in between the posts once again.
There may be two changes in defence, as Ruben Neves returns from suspension to partner Max Kilman at centre-back, with the Portugal international likely to be preferred to the inexperienced Toti Gomes while Nathan Collins is still suspended.
Rayan Ait-Nouri also comes in at left-back, replacing Jonny Otto, as he can offer a greater attacking threat down the left-hand side for the Old Gold (0.8 key passes per game to the Spaniard’s 0.1), with Nelson Semedo keeping his place at right-back.
There looks set to be a surprise in midfield, with Joe Hodge reportedly in line for his first senior start in a Wolves shirt, and he will likely partner Matheus Nunes and Joao Moutinho as part of that three in the middle of the park.
After disappointing performances last weekend, both Diego Costa and the “fantastic” Goncalo Guedes drop out, with Hwang Hee-Chan coming in up front and both Adama Traore and Daniel Podence also starting in what should be a dangerous trio on the counterattack.
