The Miami Heat have posted their desire on Jae Crowder, but a potential move remains unlikely with Phoenix Suns rejecting their offered trade concepts, per Anthony Chiang and Barry Jackson of Miami Herald.

With that, conversations between Miami and Phoenix haven’t gained any traction regarding Crowder, with the former not showing interest to offer Caleb Martin for a trade.

It was already reported that the Heat will only actively pursuing the embattled veteran in a buyout scenario. But it is highly unlikely on the side of the Suns, who remains keen on their options and priorities to snag the best return they can from Crowder.

The Heat have a noticeable dent at their starting power forward spot upon the departure of P.J. Tucker in last free agency and a probable reunion with Crowder, who helped them reach the 2020 NBA Finals, will be a great cover to their roster needs.

Crowder remains away of the Suns’ team activities since the start of 2022-23 training camp after agreeing with the team to work for a trade. He is an expiring asset and set to be paid over $10MM in his last year this season.
